Alia Advani is an Indian actress who works in Hindi and Telugu films. She was born on July 31, 1991, and she goes by the stage name Kiara Advani (pronounced "kja-ra-ai"). In the sports biopic M.S. Dhoni: Her Wife, she made her acting debut in the comedy film Fugly (2014). Advani was born to Sindhi Hindu businessman Jagdeep Advani and teacher Genevieve Jaffrey. Her father was a Muslim from Lucknow and her mother was a Christian of Scottish, Irish, Portuguese, and Spanish ancestry. Her brother Mishaal is a musician. Her maternal family is related to several celebrities. Her step-great-grandfather and great-uncle, respectively, are actors Ashok Kumar and Saeed Jaffrey.[8] Advani attended Cathedral and John Connon Schools before attending Jai Hind College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in mass communications.[9] Born Alia Advani, she changed her first name to Kiara before her first movie, Fugly, came out in 2014.
